Datacate’s Response To The Spectre and Meltdown Exploits

intel 450x360 300x240 - Datacate’s Response To The Spectre and Meltdown ExploitsAt Datacate we continually strive to maintain and improve our overall reliability as part of our commitment to our clients.

As you may have heard, there are two new serious CPU exploitations that security researchers have recently uncovered named Meltdown and Spectre. These two exploitations take advantage of speculative execution on the majority of modern CPUs in desktop computers, servers, and even smartphones. As with all major cloud and HaaS providers, Datacate, Inc is working together with hardware and software vendors to patch these exploitations as soon as we can. The solutions to these exploitations will be highly dependent on the type of hosting environment that you have with Datacate, Inc. In some cases, the fix will require no involvement or action on your part. If a coordinated effort is required, our engineering team will be reaching out to your account’s technical contact(s) to perform these upgrades once they become available from the appropriate vendors.
