The Business Environmental Resource Center (BERC) in Sacramento, California was established by the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors in 1993 to provide assistance to business with various regulatory and compliance initiatives. BERC administers the Sacramento Area Sustainable Business Program, which certifies and promotes businesses and other organizations in the region that have adopted environmentally friendly practices, and conserve resources.

The Sacramento Area Sustainable Business Program began with the Sacramento Pollution Prevention (P2) Awards in 1995, which later merged with the Sacramento Green Business program to form the Sustainable Business Program. An annual awards ceremony is held to honor the top performers in the program, who have implemented outstanding achievements in the areas of Energy Conservation, Water Conservation, Pollution Prevention, Solid Waste Reduction, Green Building and Transportation/Air Quality.

We at Datacate are committed to doing our part to promote sustainable energy practices. As a Certified Sustainable Business, our clients can feel confident that using our services will ultimately help them achieve their own green/sustainable initiatives.
