COVID-19 Access Policy Update for our Santa Clara Clients

Policy Update 04/28/2020: Until further notice for the health and safety of all, due to Covid-19 anyone entering our INAP Data Centers will be required to wear a mask. All visitors will be required to provide their own masks. We appreciate your cooperation with this important health and safety matter. Please wear a mask or other face covering that goes over the nose and mouth. The mask or other face covering must be worn at all times while in any of our facilities.

We have received the following notice from Internap, the provider of physical-layer services for our Santa Clara colocation clients. Please review the following notice and follow the link below to download the full documentation of new physical access procedures from Internap’s website.

You must complete a physical access request form if you need to gain emergency access to the Santa Clara data center. Download the form here, complete all information and open a ticket with Datacate to have the request processed. Physical access cannot be granted until the form has been completed and submitted.

If you have any questions about the updated access procedures, please contact operations@datacate.com for assistance.

In our continued effort to ensure the health and safety of employees, customers and third parties during the COVID-19 pandemic, we are implementing a “No Access” policy at our flagship data centers effective today, April 1, 2020.

We ask that everyone understand the importance of this policy and strictly adhere to the conditions. We also request that all customers immediately communicate this policy to their employees, respective vendors, contractors and third parties who may require access.

For complete details of the newly implemented data center policies and procedures, including a list of applicable data centers, please refer to this document [PDF]. The document outlines the procedures that must be followed when emergency access or support is needed:

  • How to request emergency remote hands
  • How to request emergency access
  • Screening questions asked prior to entering for emergency work
  • A note on policies at our partner facilities

We appreciate your support and cooperation during these challenging times.
